What does it mean?

The number of sales made compared to the number of clicks your advert or keyword generates, expressed as a percentage. The longer the time period measured, the more accurate and robust a conversion rate or conversion % is.

What should you aim for?

The gold standard for conversion rates is Amazon, at over 17%. If you’re trying to generate leads, 10% is a good target. For simple standard products then 7% suits. For products costing £100 or more, or where there is a greater variation is specification, 3% is more reasonable.
