Full Name

Bounce Rate

Acronym

n/a

What does it mean?

The percentage of website visitors who leave a website without looking at anything more than the landing page.

What should you aim for?

The best performing websites have a bounce rate of 25% or less. Many of the largest websites’ bounce rate can be as high as 40%. Anything over 50% is a problem – visitors clearly don’t like what they find on the landing page. Either the traffic source is not appropriate, or the landing page needs a redesign.
