The number of times your advert appears, either on the SERPs or on your Display campaign.
What should you aim for?
The number of impressions depends on how many people search using your keywords and how high you’re bidding. The more general the product, the longer the keyword list, and higher you’re bidding, the larger the number of impressions. For example, a high bid for the keyword ‘tomatoes’ would generate 30,000 impressions per day. The same bid for the keyword ‘vine ripened tomatoes’ would generate 1,000 impressions per day.
